Automatic Laser Welding unit NLW 200:
A new laser welding solution includes a power source which is a Nd: YAG type laser unit and a fully automatic welding unit for the metal tape splicing. Laser welding offers a reliable and fast method for high quality splicing of steel and aluminium tapes. Nextrom’s Laser Welding Unit NLW 200 features automated threading of the metal tape, positioning and cutting of the tape in process and the new tape and automated welding. All operating parameters like material type, thickness and width can be set for the welding unit from the recipe system without any mechanical settings or adjustments at the machine. With this features uptime is maximized during splicing and product change.
